Improvement of Access to Photography Platforms and Explanations in Machu Picchu
The Vice Minister of Cultural Heritage and Cultural Industries, Carmen Vegas, visited the Inca City of Machu Picchu, where she oversaw the implementation of improvements in the three new visitor circuits. These improvements ensure an appropriate experience for both domestic and international visitors.
During her visit, she inspected the installation of wooden stairs and geoblocks, which provide access to new photography and explanation platforms. She also verified the correct placement of signage, which facilitates the orderly flow of visitors.
Accompanied by officials from the central headquarters of the Ministry of Culture (#Mincul) and the National Archaeological Park of Machu Picchu, the Vice Minister also supervised the progress of the archaeological excavation being conducted in the Main Plaza of the urban sector of the Inca city.
Additionally, she engaged in discussions with the technical team responsible for the conservation and preservation of our World Heritage Site to understand the ongoing work they perform to protect Machu Picchu.
